Glory be to Allah

As darkness settles around me,
And the full moon shines so brightly,
What if,
I wonder, darkness was all that I could ever see?
Myself I wouldn’t know, what or whom I looked like.
If I had my mom’s eyes or my dad’s smile?
Why that too would be a mystery,
for I would only be able to feel my mother’s warmth,
or hear my father’s voice unable to see them in reality…
An imagination, would be out of the question…
how could I imagine anything, when all I could see was nothing…

But Glory be to Allah!…
For He has blessed me with two eyes to see
The world, its people and witness nature’s beauty…
The light of my eyes brings a world’s difference to me,
How many of us ponder over this miracle?
Think of the brain and its intricacies
How perfect it is, to store every second as a memory…
What if even one cell fails to function?
Instant immobility—a lifeless sensation…

Glory be to Allah, Who has blessed me with intellect
To ponder and understand His Creation,
No technology can even compare to the perfection of a single-celled organism,
When people claim that all the galaxies in the universe and more than 7 million species on earth working in perfect synchronization somehow managed to happen…
Are they using their intellect and reason?

But, the Greatest of blessings I could ever have is this beautiful
‘Way of life’, Islam… Guiding me, showing me what’s right and what’s wrong,
Words that touch my soul, the beautiful verses of the Quran,
Nothing compares to the peace I feel when I obey my Lord,

To pray,
to fast,
to give charity,
to perform pilgrimage,
to be humble to my parents,
to have good intentions,
to be generous,
to be selfless,to be just and truthful,
to respect all, to be kind to the poor,
to spread knowledge,
to explore the wonders of this world,
to stay away from unlawful and vile acts,
to make the best use of time,
to be a just leader, to be a good friend,
to treat all creatures with kindness,
to stay away from ignorance and arrogance,
to be the best of all creation – TO BE HUMAN
This is what the Quran teaches me,
word by word…

And then they claim this
Book to be man-made,
No book can ever contain this perfect way of life that Allah has conveyed…
Because there has been no man except the one who spread the words of Allah,
who possessed all these traits,
If he would have written the Quran,
he would have glorified himself,
But ‘Glory be to Allah’ was what Muhammad (pbuh) said till his last breath…

I Thank Allah for this priceless blessing,
A source of eternal happiness,
A solution to every grievance… ‘
Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism),
and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah,
Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest.'(Al Quran 13:28)

Glory be to Allah , The Most Merciful, The Oft-Forgiving.
